The issue is when we "background submit" a SAS code. It goes fine when the job runs successfully. The status is shown as "completed" in the "Background job status" and the logs are recorded as well. However when you run a code that is bound to fail, the status in the background job status is just shown as "Running" and there is no log recorded. Basically the code never fails , it's just on the running mode until we just cancel the code. Why does this happen? Also when we try to check the logs after cancelling them , it says "      The selected file does not exist". We are on SAS studio 3.71 Enterprise version.
