If you always want exactly 5 outputs then chose 5 as minimum and maximum number - else whatever suits you best.
The minimum number of outputs is what gets added when you drag the object onto the job canvas (and you can't have less), for anything more you need to add an additional output port - the transformation lets you add as many as you've defined as max value.
BTW: If you post DIS question under Data Management then you get likely quicker an answer. I've seen your post only by chance.
