I am using SAS university addition , configured using VM .
When i started using Jupyter Lab , i see many python libraries are not available . Can I use 'pip install' process inside SAS UE?
if so , please help me with steps.
Thanks
Hi @mike56,
SAS University Edition is packaged in a virtual machine that you can not modify, so unfortunately you do not have the option of installing additional Python libraries to use with SAS University Edition (source).
Which Python libraries are you interested in?
Also, are you a current student? SAS Viya for Learners is another educational software offering we have, but it is only for educators and their students. So an instructor has to request access to Viya for Learners and then, once they have access, they can grant access to their students.
I bring this up because Viya for Learners also includes JupyterLab and the Python 3 kernel. Although you still cannot install additional Python libraries, Viya for Learners comes with a lot more Python libraries already installed because it is not restricted to the virtual machine. So there is a chance that it might already have the libraries that you are looking for if that is an option.
