Cancelled SAS Studio background submitted job still in Background Submit Status?

Hello - one of my SAS users recently cancelled a long running SAS Studio job which he had background submitted.  However, the job is still showing in his list of submitted jobs in his Background Submit Status  window.  He raised a request for one of the admins to kill off the job.   I have checked and double-checked the jobs running on the unix server and cannot find any jobs running under this user's id.  

Is there anyway to refresh his Background Submit Status window to remove this entry or any other way to track down a cancelled background submitted job on a unix server? Thanks.

Note there is no good reason to attach a docx file, and many people will/can simply not open such files.
