I signed up for the A00-231 exam in person, and wanted to know if the exam was taken on a computer or by paper.

All SAS certification exams are taken on a computer - none use paper response sheets. This exam will consist of some multiple choice questions and some where you actually have to write SAS code. @JackieJ_SAS  notes that you can choose which SAS interface (SAS Windowing Environment, Enterprise Guide, or SAS Studio) you want use for the coding portion. See the video titled “SAS Certification Tutorials” on the Base Programming Specialist page for additional info.

Hi, do you know what version of SAS it provides if taking the exam in person? is it Base SAS? or the SAS studio?

You get to choose which of three SAS interfaces you want use. The video titled “SAS Certification Tutorials” on this page says more about it:
