like a ,b c, d ,e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z

 

what is charlist in the scan syntax

Check out Example 4 and 5 in the Scan Function Documentation

 

Also, a nice exercise is to simply take some example from the documentation, add a modifier and check the results.

There is hardly any difference, except for the characters being added, between "D" (or "L") and "A", for example, so please explain what you don't understand.
