Is there a benefit to use a .sasrc file to connect to different servers/databases? I use SAS EG and all my libnames are listed on the  SAS Programs under Options. I have 'Submit SAS code when server is connected' checked.  Is there any advantage to use a .sasrc file?

The sasrc file is linked to your account and can be managed by your administrator.

The EG connection options are local and need to be moved as you move PC.

The code executed from either source will work identically.
