Hi all,
I have two SAS files each with a macro stored on my local session (client 9.2).
I want to rsubmit the first macro to run a server session (9,4). The macro will run the second macro as part of the programme.
How do I rsubmit the second macro?
Does anyone have any good examples?
Many thanks
Rsubmit the second macro first as the first is dependent on the second.
(first and second are misnomers)
rsubmit;
%macro one(x);
&x;
%mend;
%macro two();
%one(z);
%mend;
endrsubmit;
Thanks Reeza for your advice. I am new to using rsubmit so I was just wondering how does the remote session know what to do with the macros if the files are on the local session or does that not matter,
Think of the remote session as an entirely new computer.
It doesn't know where your computer and files are, you have to tell it.
I don't think I fully understand your problem.
Are the files you're talking about the macro code, are are they files that the macro will reference?
Reeza,
Thanks for the reply and I have changed the way I will be running the model so there is no issue now.
Thanks all for your help.
