reading a formatted spreadsheet

I'm working on a program to read an excel spreadsheet.

There is one kicker to the spreadsheet.  They have added colors to the spreadsheet and also strikethroughs with different meanings.

How can I get the spreadsheet formatting into a sas dataset?
