hi I have some users who need to be able to run some programs but I dont want them to read the contents of the sas program as there is some confidential info like login id, password, is there a way to stop them being able to read the program but can still run?
Afaik: In order to run a program the sas-process owned by the user muss be able to read it.
Exception: If the sas code is executed by a SAS Stored Process, then the user does not need read-access to the code.
Everybody who accesses a service must have their own credentials, otherwise you cannot follow who did what. Shared use of credentials (in critical places) is a big no-no in today's world. DO NOT DO THIS.
