Hello

I have some questions about user defined formats .

1-When I create a user defined format (not in a permanent library), how can I see the name of the temporary library where the format i saved.

I am using FMTLIB statement and then I see the name of the format and its values but i cannot see the library name where it is saved

2-How can I tell SAS to delete all temporary  formats

3--How can I tell SAS to delete specific temporary  formats

Thanks

Joe

Hey,

1. Temporary formats are stored in a SAS catalog named formats in your work-Lib.

2. Full Explanation: https://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=proc&docsetVersion=9.4&docsetTarget=p1il9pe2plu3bpn0zza8igp6...

proc catalog cat=work.formats kill;
quit;

3. Full Explanation: https://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=proc&docsetVersion=9.4&docsetTarget=p1kxop460mnyqyn19xcm3diz...

 proc catalog cat=work.formats;
   delete format_name.infmt;
quit;
