I am trying to output the results from proc means using ODS PDF. The variable labels sometimes take up two lines, while the numeric output only takes one line causing the data to not be lined up. How do I output the results in a readable format with the data lined up with the variable label?

What ended up working for me was adding stackodsoutput to the proc means options. This designated one line per variable listed in the output.

Can you attach some sample code, sample output or screen shot from PDF reader ?

If appearance is an issue depending on which statistics you are requesting from Proc Means then you might consider using Proc Report or Tabulate where there are more appearance controls.

Or create a data set from the Proc Means output and use another procedure such a Proc Print or Report with appearance control options.

An possibly using shorter labels.
