Hi,
I have separate datasets for cases (CASES) and controls (CONTROLS). I want to choose 3 controls per case and identify which controls were matched to each case. My matching variables are age (+- 2 years), gender (same gender) and service year (+-2 years). I want to have a data set, containing a strata variable linking the cases to the matched controls which looks like the following (attached):
CaseID | ControlID | Strata | VAR1 | Var2 | Var3 |
100 | 121 | 1 |
100 | 122 | 1 |
100 | 127 | 1 |
155 | 877 | 2 |
155 | 114 | 2 |
155 | 447 | 2 |

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions.
Thanks Reeza, Will try that.
