What is the libname and dataset name of your source data? Use those values where I have

where libname="WORK" and memname="have";

In my example, I think I should have specified "HAVE", not "have".

To avoid any uppercase/lowercase issue:

where upcase(libname)="L**L" and upcase(memname)="D**D"

Replace "L**L" with the uppercase of your libname, in quotes. And "D**D" with the uppercase of your dataset name.

The hash OUTPUT method will overwrite a SAS data set, but not append. That can be costly. Consider voting for Add a HASH object method which would append a hash object to an existing SAS data set

Would enabling PROC SORT to simultaneously output multiple datasets be useful? Then vote for
Allow PROC SORT to output multiple datasets

I just figured out how amazing "&myrecode" actually did by a preceding SQL that you showed above. This is awesome!!! I have to say I learned a lot from this post. Thank you for sharing such a good example!
