Hit the data dictionaries instead Smiley Happy

Check SASHELP.VTABLE and query that or look into proc contents or proc dataset.

For variable properties it would be Vcolumns or the dictionary.columns in SQL;

Proc sql;

     select *

     from Dictionary.columns where libname='LIBRARY' and memname='DATASET';

quit;

The library name and data set name are in caps as that is the way the data is stored in data view.
