For conducting clustering, do we need to consider only the significant variables of the regresssion model. Should we also consider the dependent and the independent variable or only the independent variables for clustering.

Clustering is usually considered "unsupervised learning," which means that there is no response (dependent) variable. You cluster based on distances between all variables. So your question does not make sense as clustering is usually defined.

 

Can you say what you are trying to accomplish? You have run a regression and found a linear model for Y as a function of the (significant) explanatory variables X1, X2, ... Xk. But what are you trying to do next?
