I am using XMLV2 engine to export SAS datasets to xml. The issue is when a numeric value is missing. By default SAS shows

<column_name>.</column_name>. If I set options missing="" then I get only <column_name />.

Is there any way to show <column_name></column_name> without the dot for numeric missing values when using xmlmap.

Sample Code is given below:

libname lib1 xmlv2 "/data/sample.xml" xmlmap="/data/sample_data.map";

data lib1.abcd;

set temp;/*Dataset containing 10 numeric and 10 character columns*/

run;

I don't think you can do this directly.

You probably have to process the XML file after creation. See here.
