What happened to PSS (Power and Sample Size application)? It is not available in the latest version of SAS.

I found this very useful, particularly the narratives. Generating a sensible, accurate report was so easy!

Does anyone know if PSS is still available?

Hi:
This Tech Support note seems relevant to your question: http://support.sas.com/kb/59/846.html -- if you have SAS 9.4 on your local machine and, if it was installed with SAS Studio available, then you should be able to start up SAS Studio, and access the Power and Sample size tasks there.

Thanks for the swift response, Cynthia.

You are (of course) correct - PSS can be found in SAS Studio. However, it does not contain the option to include narratives, which is what I found so very useful.

I've searched through the programming documentation, e.g. http://documentation.sas.com/?activeCdc=webeditorcdc&cdcId=sasstudiocdc&cdcVersion=3.71&docsetId=web...

Can you, or anyone else, help?

Hi:
I think that's a question for Tech Support. I don't know how they implemented narratives in the previous PSS application.

Thanks Cynthia. I've sent an email to tech support.

UPDATE: Tech Support confirm that the Narratives option is no longer available. I've put in a request for the option to be reinstated here:
