Hi,

How to write a weekly status/update report to your manager ? I know its not related to SAS, it is a general question.. sorry

I have to submit weekly report to my manager regarding work progress, I am submitting all common things ... Can any one give me one whole format so I can get a perfect idea about it, what to add on it and how its look like.... (I am sending an email to them)..

Thank you

This may seem like the wrong order but a busy manager will appreciate putting the most important first

Action you require to take - none

Issues we need to discuss - none

Blockers hindering progress - none

Decisions made - none

Upcoming leave - none

Project milestones reached - none

Project Progress

  • Phase 1 description deadline 80%
  • Phase 2 description deadline 20%
  • Phase 3 description deadline (not started)

I would add that the report should contain no surprises.

If there is anything that a manager needs to know that requires their action or decision, it should be raised immediately, and not wait for the weekly report.
