Dear,

I have created a adam dataset and pulled the seq values from sdtm data set and gave a format  best15. The format for seq variable in sdtm dataset was best12.

The seq value in sdtm dataset are    eg:   4.8281592E14                with length8,   format best12.,    informat15.

The seq value in adam dataset are      eg: 482815915617089      with length 8, format best15., informat 15.

When I ran Pinacle 21 on adam dataset, i am getting "SRCSEQ value is longer than defined max length 8". Please suggest how to avoid the message. Thank you

Firstly Pinnacle 21 is not a SAS product. Secondly you talk about an "adam" and an "sdtm" dataset. Are you really expecting us as SAS users to understand terms that look like they are only relevant to Pinnacle 21? If these terms are relevant to your problem please explain what they mean.

Also you need to provide any SAS code you you have written for your process. If the "adam" dataset you talk about is a SAS dataset then use PROC CONTENTSto confirm the length of the SRCSEQ variable.

In the end I suspect you would be better off posting your problem on a Pinnacle 21 forum.
