Hi all -

I don't know much about the env't, its SAS VA v6.2 in Linux.

- Select SAS Visual Data Builder

- Select 'Import Local Data'

- Select 60MB csv file

- Steps 1 & 2 of import appear to successfully complete, but then receive message 'Request could not be completed successfully due to a server error'.  Details list error of missing credentials, etc.

Support seems to think it’s due to an 'unrestricted' vs 'restricted' account issue but we can't seem to determine even how to start troubleshooting?

Thanks,

Bart

Can you post the error?

Why do they think it's metadata permissions related?

Can you create some other metadata in that area using your own id?

Can you load data with another account?

Can you load it with sasadm or similar?

Edit: Also check you have the write OS level permissions across the system.

I can only connect by RDP so limited with what I can copy/show.  Below is a screenshot of the error details.  There are 3 other user accounts and all receive the same error so must have something to do with the way the accounts were set-up or perhaps restrictions on creating the data table?

Thanks so much Michelle, I searched support and not sure why I didn't find the note - very helpful. Bart

The usage note was only posted to support.sas.com over the weekend... I think some very helpful R&D people saw your question and created the note. So thanks goes to them.

Michelle
