Using info from one dataset to create variable in a second dataset

Yep, you're right. I played around with student B and the code works correctly with that dummy dataset. I'll just have to play around with the real dataset more to figure out what's going on. I keep on getting a ton of indicator=0 values, so I'm transferring over your code incorrectly somewhere.
