When we do try to output these stats all we get is stats such as N,STD,MIN,MAX,MEAN,STD etc.

proc summary data=sashelp.class nway;
class sex;
var weight;
output out=w nmiss= median= p1= p10= /autoname;
run;

Thanks for the quick reponse.. I need it if we can do it using proc means.

Procs means and summary are basically the same. The difference is Means by default sends output to default output and summary will create a dataset from ancient SAS history. If you look at the online help for Proc Summary you will see that it basically references Proc Means. Some of us maintain the differences so we can tell quickly whether we are sending output to listing/ods output or datasets.
