I'm just trying to experiment SAS HASH feature.  Is there a golden rule or a formula to calculate the memory that will be needed to process a HASH table of a certain number of columns with a key with specific number of rows/entries ?   The URL article I was reading through is listed below cautions that programmers may experience running out of memory situations while processing HASH tables beyond a certain size.
