Hi.

I have NEVER had this problem in my entire life!

How do I get the 3 screens, program editor, log, and output to show up when using SAS windows?

I could always toggle from one to another without having to choose  one from the windows view toggle.

This is driving me crazy.  I don't know what I did!

I can't try to find an answer.

Thank you, Kindly!!

I tried the F9 hints already, but I want the pgm, log, and output to be on

I tried the TOOL>options way you provided, and it didn't work.

I have been use Windowed versions of SAS since SAS 6.4 for DOS. I do not understand you  mean by "bottom of the main page, like it always has done". I don't remember "bottom of the main page" at all.

Drag and resize windows manually until you have them where you want them. Close SAS. Restart. If they are not in the place you left them you may either not be using Display manager of the settings is not checked to save settings. When you get this to behave on opening then unset the "save on closing".

"Disappeared" or the window was large enough that it covered the other two?

Is this Display Manager, sometimes called Base or Foundation SAS, Enterprise Guide or SAS Studio?

In Display Manager you can go to the little command box and type TILE, which will arrange the current open windows in a tiled layout, i.e. each as a separate window. CASCADE will arrange them overlapped in a diagonal.

If you have the Tool>options>preferences>General setting of "Save settings on Exit" marked then the settings in effect when you should down SAS will be the default when you restart.

Press F9 when in the editor, log or output window should show your current SAS function key settings. This is where the F5 WPGM for enhanced editor, F6 LOG and F7 OUTPUT settings are maintained for switching between those windows. If they have been changed you can edit the key settings with the capitalized text show and the close the Keys window.

I tried the TILES , and it gave me 3 windows, but they are not on the
bottom, even though I had them arranged horizontally. Also, when I started
in one of the boxes, starting programming, the other 2 disappeared..

It's a tad annoying b/c it uses up more of my time.

Thanks for your suggestions, though!

Hi @mava,

When I'm not satisfied with the positions or sizes of the (Enhanced) Editor, Log and Output windows (using the Display Manager interface of SAS 9.4 under Windows), I press Alt+W+R (=Resize command of the "Window" menu), which restores my saved favorite window arrangement. Your problem description suggests that you need to take a step back and save the window arrangement after adjusting it to your liking. To do so, start a SAS session with the NORSASUSER system option, adjust the window sizes and positions, enter WSAVE ALL in the command line (and hit the Return key) and close the session. Ideally, open future SAS sessions with the RSASUSER system option to prevent accidental changes to your saved window arrangement.
