Shortcuts for writing out column-names

If I want to, for instance sum the columns named: 

CampingOther, CampingTent, CampingRV, CampingBackcountry. 

The obvious thing to use is:

sum(CampingOther, CampingTent, CampingRV, CampingBackcountry)

However, I know the "faster way" to do it would be:

sum(of Camping:)

Notice the usage of: ("of" and ":"). 

Does anyone know: 
1. What to search for to find the documentation for this. 
2. I know (but don't remember the syntax) that there were similar commands such as: 
column1,column2, column3 could be written as column1-column3. 
Any documentation link where I can read about these kind of "simplifications"?
