I am running SAS code via Enterprise Guide and trying to save the log onto a local drive and at the same time print the log.
"PRINTTO" procedure only saves the log but does not print.. Is there any option to do both?
Thanks..
PRINTTO redirects the log stream. There is only one stream for the log text, so printing needs to be done from the file later on.
If EG connects to a server, the resulting file will be stored on the server, not on your desktop drive.
The log window in EG can be stored on your desktop and printed, but not with code statements.
You can use the ALTLOG option to do this. This specifies the the destination for a copy of the log. It has to be set at SAS invocation (in the config file, or in the command used to start SAS), and will be in effect for the whole session.
