Hey All,
what does the sysmsg actually do? will it retrieve the errors in the log or the errors which we cannot see in the log?
and is there any difference between SCL error and the error we generally get in the log ?
Please help me on this, Thanks.
Nothing better than the documentation on these types of questions:
http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/lrdict/64316/HTML/default/viewer.htm#a000210917.htm
Maxim 1: Read the documentation, which is very clear about the function.
See here for example: http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/lrdict/64316/HTML/default/viewer.htm#a000210917.htm
sysmsg() returns the error text of a failed dataset/file access function.
