SAS freezes whenever I run a program

I'm using Windows 8.1 (64 bit) for SAS 9.3. I've used a set of SAS codes for SAS 9.2 for years, which contains a simple macro and GLM. This time, I want to use it on 9.3 on my new laptop (Windows 8.1). Whenever I click on Submit, the sas program freezes. If I click on SAS program, it showed "Not responding" on top of the window. What should I do?

What version of SAS do you have?  What variety of Windows 8?

As mentioned in my questions that the version of SAS is 9.3 and version of Windows is 8.1 on 64 bit. Thanks.

SAS 9.3, but what precisely?  TS2M0?

Windows 8.1 64 bit, Professional, Enterprise, or just vanilla Windows 8?
