I'm very new to SAS using SAS OnDemand and learning SAS programming. I wonder if I can use SAS language to build machine learning models such as Decision Trees, SVM, Neural Network, etc. I want to use SAS for my school project and my professor expects me to write the program with real codes. With such expectation, I doubt if SAS EM is acceptable. Are there any SAS books and/or tutorials about using SAS codes for building machine learning models?
I'm not sure that's possible. If I was to do this, I'd probably use SAS Viya with SASpy on top to run my python models on SAS datasets.
FYI - it's rare in actual model production system to use a single language across the entire process. It's often implemented in different languages for example.
