HI All,

I have data as below. I wanted to remove space before a string(/).

Raw data:

subjid    Term

101        Inclusion / Exclusion Criteria

Output DAtaset:

subjid    Term

101        Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria

So which function i should use to remove space before '/' string and after string '/'. please provide your inputs.TIA

One way is to use the TRANWRD function to replace the string " / " with just a "/".

data example;
   x = "Inclusion / Exclusion Criteria";
   y = tranwrd(x,' / ','/');
   put y=;
run;
