I recently started using SAS Enterprise 7.1 (used to be using PC version).

After I create a program file, every time I make a change to the file and run the code it generates a new version of the file.  For example, if my original file is named Graph Code, when I make a change to the file and run it again it creates a new file named Graph Code (2).

How do I stop it from doing this?  I only want to have the original file and when I am finished making changes to that file I will save it.

Thanks

My condolences

For example, if my original file is named Graph Code, when I make a change to the file and run it again it creates a new file named Graph Code (2).

So you have an external file called Graph Code.sas. You run it and an external file called Graph Code (2).sas is created?

Isn't it an entry in the project, rather than a file?
