Hi all,

I have a data set attached with observations that are "ADIN MOUTAIN’" and I would like to change them to "ADIN MOUNTAIN."

Can I use PROC SQL to do this? How do change the observations names without creating a new data set?

A classic use of the Modify Statement.

data SNOWSTATIONSDATA8711;
   modify SNOWSTATIONSDATA8711;
   if STATIONNAME = "ADIN MOUTAIN" then STATIONNAME="ADIN MOUNTAIN";
run;

Ah, I kept trying to look up SAS documentation using rename, and only got results for renaming variables. Thank you very much.
