Maybe there is another workaround way.

When you  tried to copied this table into Excel, at Excel' menu ,Edit ->Optional Paste->Text. It maybe will filter these annoying character.

Ksharp,  That (the paste->text) option was the first thing I tried before suggesting the above approach.
