Project in SAS

Hello,

I want to ask a general question please.

I created a SAS project  that contain multiple process flows and in each process flow there is a program.

The reason that I decided to create a SAS project and non a SAS program is that I have created multiple programs that are related to specific issue and It is easier for me to put it in a project that looks like a book and I can find very quickly the relevant program that I want to run.

A friend in my work asked me to send him the project.

I opened the project that I created (Its name is Proj1) and I click File and then SAVE AS and under File name wrote Proj1_copy and File type Egp (which means project).

Then my friend opened the project Proj2 and started work on it.

After a few days I opened again my project Proj1 and I saw that there are problems in the projects.

I don't remember exactly what happened but I remember that the fact that I created a new project (Proj2) from my project(Proj1) created a link between the projects and it was very bad for me.

My question:

What is the way that the new project (Proj2) will not be related to the base prject (Proj1)?

I want that the 2 projects will be separated without any connection between them.

Make sure that the program nodes are embedded in the project, or saved to a local location on your PC that cannot be accessed from anyone else. Or in your home directory on the server, where (if set up correctly) only you can overwrite them (you don't use shared server users, or do you?).
