Proc Geocode Steet level

I am using proc geocode with street method as follows

proc geocode

method = street

addressvar = ADDR

addresscityvar = CITY

addressstatevar = ST

addresszipvar = ZIP

data = address

out = addr_out

lookupstreet = geo.USM

run ;

What values it gives if zip code is missing in the input data? I am getting null values.

Does your data with a missing Zip have a city name that matches in the lookup? The default behavior should be to attempt to match on city when Zip is missing.
