Hi - I have a dataset that I need to export into excel. Several variables have currency formatting - example: $199,999.99
When exported the $ sign is not retained - how can I retain the $ sign? Please help!!

Thanks! This does work, however I found I don't have sufficient memory in order to complete the process.

formats typically are not retained via PROC EXPORT. You can create them as character variables or use ODS which will maintain formatting.
ods excel file='shared\myfolder\test3.xlsx';
proc print data=rwork.test3;
run;
ods excel close;
ods excel file='shared\myfolder\test3.xlsx';
proc print data=rwork.test3;
run;
ods excel close;
