Population attributable risks

Hello everyone

I just started using SAS less than a month ago so I'm having a bit of a hard time.

I'm assuming that there is a causal association between certain lifestyle factors (such as smoking status) and a certain health outcome (e.g: cancer). I want to calculate population attributable risks in order to estimate the proportion of certain health outcomes (proportion of cancer cases) attributed to different lifestyle factors.
Could you please provide me with a script?

i had to Google to see what you meant, does this look correct:

If so, start off with a PROC FREQ to calculate the RR. Check the documentation under examples for an example that illustrates how and the RR is calculated.
