Passing global variable to script?

To begin describing what I am trying to do, I have a a journal with multiple button boxes, each with different titles for the button box. Each button box opens the same script, but I want to pass as a global argument the name/title of the button box. Is there a way to do this inside the button box? Thanks

Can you be bit more specific what you mean by "sceipt"?
I think a more thorough description of your environment is needed.
