How can an attachment be extracted from a specific Outlook message and the saved under another name in a specified location?

What is your actual use case? Opening and saving a single email attachment manually is less than a 1 minute job. Automation, if it is possible, isn't really going to speed this up.

AND some of the approaches may be restricted by your IT folks.

 

I investigated this a couple months ago and found a lot of things that pointed to certain Outlook "rule" operations as a starting point that involved options that are restricted in my organization or programming tools I am not allowed to use.

 

Search Windows / Outlook forums for this sort of thing.
