I am connecting a database using the LIBNAME statement, everything is working however it seems I am losing the labels and formats.

libname mylib db2 schema=myschema user=myusername using=mypassword;

Any idea?

Are you reading from the remote DB2 database?  Or writing to it?

LABELS and FORMATS are SAS concepts so there is no place in the remote database for SAS to store that information.  If they are important to you then add them back.  Perhaps by creating a view?

libname mylib db2 .... ;
proc sql;
  create myview as
     select a.myvar label='My Label' format=myfmt.
     from mylib.mytable a
  ;
quit;
