hi all,

Looking to export encrypted excel attachment via email from unix sas (in other words, while I am not logged into my windows environment).

I'm currently able to automote daily jobs using cron tab and just found out how to email my excel output to email.

Has anyone experienced adding encryption to the excel files?

I found this tutorial: http://support.sas.com/kb/31/328.html

But not sure if this can work from Unix. I appreciate any tips you may have to offer

Hi @brulard,

You can use system commands such as gzip to zip your excel sheet and add a password to it. All of this can be done from within your sas program by using call system or x command. Later you can send this as an attachment to your email using the filename email option in SAS.
