Hello,
I'm having an issue with SAS permissions.
If I open SAS and open a SAS file from within the program, it functions as normal.
If I attempt to open a SAS data file first with out opening it through SAS I recive the following error:
Insufficient authorization to access C:\Windows\system32\program.log
Thank you.
Are you using SAS UE or SAS BASE?
What do you mean by opening a SAS data file, a sas7bdat file, and you double click on it in Windows?
I'm guessing here but maybe when you double-click on a SAS program it is trying to run it rather than open it and failing because it is trying to write the log to a folder where you don't have write permission.
Right click on the file and the look at your options. You probably want to OPEN in SAS and may be trying to open in Enterprise guide or run. You may have a number of options so look closely.
