Input for numeric values

I would like to transform the character values to numeric, but my code doesn't work for all observcations (row 17) :

My code is :

numeric_var = input(PX_LAST, comma9.);

Obviously, the process for generating this data is broken, it should be creating variable PX_LAST as numeric, and if possible that's the fix you want.

Otherwise, use informat comma32.
