Good day,

I am trying to import data with a data step.  I get the following error message.  What on earth does it mean?  Thank you in advance.

Invalid object specified to bridge protocol engine.

Beats the heck out of me.

Can you post your code? Can you post some of your data?

Is this Excel? MS Access? If it's Access or Excel, do you have a SAS license for directly accessing those? I'm just trying to understand your environment and context.

If at all possible, when you get an error or message that you have questions about, go to your log, copy the text of the procedure and any notes, messages, warnings or error messages. Open a code box on the forum using the </> and paste the copied text. This will preserve the formatting of text of messages that sometimes provide diagnostic clues.
