In my data the following values present. I need to remove characters in parenthesis in the chracter value. Please help. Thank you

As long as you don't have brackets in brackets the following should do the job:

data have;
infile datalines truncover dlm='|';
input ID:$1. value $100.;
datalines;
1|0.10 (00 min) hours post-dose
1|2 (pre-2nd dose) (-2 min) hours post-dose
1|Pre-dose
;
run;

data sample;
set have;
length value_want $100;
value_want=prxchange('s/\s*\(.*\)\s*/ /oi',-1,value);
run;
