How to recall SAS programs in SAS studio

Hello Experts, 

I am using the SAS Certification Pre Guide  (Base Programming for SAS 9 Third Edition) learning SAS. In chatper3 it introduces how to  recalling SAS programs. Since this book is based on the windowing environment, I am using SAS Studio. I can't see how it looks like in the windowing environment to do this step. I'd like to know if possible to recall SAS progams in SAS Studio? and How?

Hi @Fiery

If you're referring to the RECALL mentioned with Submitting Code from the Clipboard, you can disregard it when it comes to SAS Studio.

It was relevant with older release like SAS 6.12 when the submitted code was removed from the Program Editor.

You had to "recall" the submitted code by pressing the F4 key.

Now, from SAS 8.2, you have the Enhanced Editor and you don't need to recall the code.

(Said that, the Program Editor is still available if you need it with SAS Fondation).

Actually I moderately often use F4 for recall because I modify data step code generated by proc import. If I RECALL immediately after the proc import then the code generated is what is recalled to the editor. Which is much nicer than copying from the log, pasting and then cleaning up.

Good point, I used it that way too.

Not on a regular basis but I'm not importing files everyday too.
