Dear Brain trust,

is there any specific SAS procedure to obtain the distance between two canadian zip code?

I have a large dataset where I want to determine the distance between two distinct location.

They are called Postal Codes in Canada. Get them as a CSV from :

 

https://fusiontables.google.com/DataSource?docid=1H_cl-oyeG4FDwqJUTeI_aGKmmkJdPDzRNccp96M&hl=en_US&p...

 

and then use function geodist() on the lat-longs to estimate the strait-line distances.

I can't look now but if you search the web for

Canadian postal code centroid

and then use function GEODIST() on that data

I expect you'll get the outcome you seek.
