How to loop through MP sessions ?

I have 10 steps I want to process over 3 MP connections.

My main problem is the test for what process is free to launch the next program.

I am sure I have seen the code for doing something like this years back but I am unable to fine it now.

We are running 9.2 on windows and Linux.
