I want In Vitro to be italicized but nothing else in the title. How my code is currently written, I get all the text after the ITALIC option italicized.

title font= "Times New Roman" bold height= 12pt "ADCC (" italic "In Vitro" bold " Killing) Results by Time Point and Treatment Group, mITT Immunogenicity Population - #byval1";
proc sgpanel data= GM;
 by ARMN;
 panelby ATPT / novarname onepanel columns= 3;
 vbarparm category= PARAMN response= GM / limitlower= LB limitupper= UB /*group= ARMN groupdisplay= cluster grouporder= data*/;
 rowaxis min= 0 max= 100 label= "In Vitro Killing (%) Geometric Mean";
 colaxis label= "Sera Type";
 format PARAMN paramn. ARMN armn.;
run;

Did you try to specify all attributes before each part of the title text?

Eg;

title font= "Times New Roman" bold height= 12pt "ADCC ("
 font= "Times New Roman" italic height= 12pt "In Vitro"
font= "Times New Roman" bold height= 12pt " Killing) Results by Time Point and Treatment Group, mITT Immunogenicity Population - #byval1";

Hi: It would be better to use ODS ESCAPECHAR for in-line formatting like this:

Cynthia_sas_0-1682615730865.png

I show this output in ODS HTML. To allow ODS to control the title and the inline formatting, you need the NOGTITLE option on the ODS HTML statement, as shown above. Note the syntax of the ESCAPECHAR style override is more like a function call where the curly brackets enclose the text to be italicized and the square brackets enclose the style overrides you want for this partial text string in the curly brackets.

  The NOGTITLE option causes ODS to put the title outside of the boundary of the graph, while the GTITLE option causes ODS to put the title INSIDE the boundary of the graph and inside the boundary of the graph, the ODS ESCAPECHAR override does not work an example like this.

  Hope this helps,

Cynthia
